IGNITE Worldwide’s Founder has been selected as a recipient of the 2011 “World of Difference 100” Award, presented by The International Alliance for Women. Nominations for this award came in from all over the world, to celebrate leaders who are making a difference in the lives of girls and women. The award is an acknowledgement of the importance of Rodgveller’s extensive work on gender issues in STEM education and the empowerment of female students from all backgrounds. The international focus of the awarding organization is especially fitting given IGNITE’s recent expansion into Nigeria and Ghana.
Award winners will be recognized at the World of Difference Awards Dinner on October 27, 2011 at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC.
