I wanted to send out a recap of our Franklin High School event yesterday, sponsored by EnviroIssues! We had 9 volunteers and 55 students attend the lunch program. The activity focused on brainstorming ways to outreach with students about the proposed replacement of the pedestrian bridge right outside Franklin High School above Rainier Avenue. This was a particularly awesome event, because it brought in a real project that the City of Seattle is working on right outside of the school and the girls could work on something that is close to them. Attached are a few pictures. A big thank you to EnviroIssues for putting on this relevant and interesting event!
