Our chapter includes 36 girls from 12 provinces. The chapter events are from the perspective of gender in science and society; and research methodology from the Engineering, Archeology, and Biology Workshop: “Bio-Archeology to Think, Dictated by a Biologist and an Archaeologist”. The scientists who conduct the workshops are Aurora Fernandez, biologist; and archaeologist Juliana Acosta. A huge thanks to these amazing scientists for their time and expertise!
At our most recent workshop, Close Encounters with Biology and Archeology; our young people dug, registered, and began to make their first hypotheses during an archaeological excavation simulation, learning much more about these sister sciences!!
