IGNITE Event in Poland on Project Management

On December 15, 2023, students in grades 5-8 from two public primary schools in Poland – Bukowina Sycowska and Kąty Wrocławskie – participated in an IGNITE Event. The event featured Barbara Trybulińska, Project Manager at Ulam Labs, who shared her inspiring journey in the world of technology.

Barbara’s story resonated with the students, illustrating that the path to success is filled with unexpected turns. Her journey from considering architecture and engineering to ultimately thriving as a Project Manager in the IT sector showcased the importance of exploring diverse interests.

Throughout her story, Barbara recounted her active Girl Scout days and participation in school competitions, highlighting her passion for French and mathematics. The transition from studying Law to discovering her calling in IT after maternity leave painted a picture of resilience and adaptability. Now overseeing a team at Ulam Labs, she emphasized the key qualities needed for a Project Manager – organizational skills, analytical thinking, self-discipline, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Barbara’s valuable insights into her daily work routine, the challenges faced, and the importance of meeting client requirements added a practical dimension to the students’ understanding of the tech industry. The session concluded with Barbara’s advice to the students to never give up on their goals and persistently pursue their chosen paths.

Special thanks to Monika Małecka and Agnieszka Krasicka for coordinating the groups and encouraging the students throughout the event. Additional thanks to Cathi Rodgveller for her unwavering support in making the event a success.
