March 2024
On March 23, 2024, the IGNITE Worldwide community gathered to celebrate diversity in STEM. Ignite the Future, IGNITE Worldwide’s annual fundraising gala took place at SoDo Park in Seattle, WA for a night of inspiration, the importance of closing the gender gap in STEM, and to honor 25 years of IGNITE.
The night featured a number of speakers exemplifying why diversity in STEM is the pathway to a brighter future. They included Jamila Conley, VP of Global Talent Acquisition at F5, Bianca Richman, Inclusion Diversity and Equity Business Partner at AWS, Lindsay Hua, VP of Global Deployment and Head of Diversity in Technology at Afiniti, Deedee Sun, Weekend Anchor & Reporter at KIRO7, IGNITE’s Founder and CEO, Cathi Rodgveller, and IGNITE Student Speakers.
The funds raised during the Ignite the Future Gala are used to provide and expand the reach of the IGNITE Program – a sustainable, scalable, and effective program that works with educators to reach students during the school day. It is through the incredible support of our partners and donors that contribute to IGNITE Worldwide continuing its mission to inspire girls and gender-diverse students to explore the opportunities within STEM, and at no cost to the students IGNITE Worldwide serves.
