On October 3, 2024, students from Dimmitt Middle School visited SiteCrafting for an engaging Field Trip focused on marketing and digital strategy. The students were hosted by SiteCrafting’s team, including Tiffany Guarnes, Jen Rittenhouse, Angie Carson, and Leah Ruisenor, who guided them through various hands-on activities and introduced them to the world of digital design and branding.
The visit began with an office tour, after which the students were split into three groups to tackle a project for a fictional client, “Happy Paws & Tails.” Each group took on a unique role: one designed a homepage, another focused on branding and logos, and the third developed social media campaigns. With guidance from the Volunteers, the students brainstormed, strategized, and put their creativity to work. By the end of the day, they’d gained practical insights into digital marketing and learned how collaboration and creativity come together in a professional environment.
“It inspired me to see that the speakers were women of color—it made me feel much more comfortable.”

“This day was great! It helped me see how girls can do things they were told they couldn’t and how they push through to find something they enjoy.”

“It was empowering to know that almost half of the workforce here is made up of women and that women lead much of the organization. I liked learning about the people who worked here and how they got into their jobs.”
