We are thrilled to share that CGI recently won a national internal competition to raise funds for nonprofit organizations, and our amazing volunteers and supporters at CGI chose IGNITE Worldwide! This achievement reflects not only CGI’s generous spirit but also the inspiring commitment of their team to support our mission to change the future of gender equity in STEM.
To celebrate and personally thank these dedicated volunteers, IGNITE CEO & Founder Cathi Rodgveller had the pleasure of visiting CGI’s office, meeting with the individuals who have tirelessly championed the IGNITE cause. Leading the charge, Nasim Moghamdam, Director of Consulting Services at CGI and a passionate IGNITE Advisory Board member, and Teresa Sorrentino, Vice President of CGI, rallied their team to support IGNITE year after year.
Nasim and Teresa have infused the entire CGI team with their enthusiasm and commitment to IGNITE, motivating many to step up as active volunteers. Under their guidance, several CGI team members have gone beyond fundraising, serving on IGNITE Panels, hosting other IGNITE Events, and even attending our annual Spring Gala! Their unwavering support has also been instrumental, securing funding each year from CGI to bring a group to the Spring Gala and hosting a table dedicated to furthering the IGNITE mission.
The CGI team’s engagement goes far beyond financial contributions. Their curiosity about our work and commitment to deepening their involvement makes them invaluable partners. It’s thanks to supporters like CGI—and people like Nasim—that IGNITE Worldwide can continue empowering and inspiring girls and gender-diverse youth to pursue careers in STEM.
A huge thank you to the CGI team for your dedication and to Nasim for your outstanding leadership. Together, we’re making strides toward a future where every girl and gender-diverse student has the confidence and support to achieve her dreams.
