In-Person Field Trip at WSP (Seattle – High School)

WSP is an environmental and engineering consulting firm with over 40,000 employees globally. We employ engineers, scientists, programmers and planners to deliver projects related to climate resiliency, transportation, waterfront infrastructure, and natural resource mitigation. Our projects range from high-profile local transportation projects such as the West Seattle bridge to large scale pier design studies in Belize and Guam.

Students will start out with a tour of a nearby waterfront project and then visit WSP’s office on the 31st floor of the Safeco Building in downtown Seattle. Students will tour the office with sweeping views of the Puget Sound waterfront, home to many of WSP’s marine infrastructure and transportation projects, and learn from a panel of WSP professionals, with expertise ranging from structural engineering to marine science. Students will be provided lunch and will participate in trivia during which they can win WSP swag!
