On Feb 20, 2019 a group of middle school girls from Buena Vista Horace Mann arrived to Tesla Headquarters in Palo Alto, enthusiastic and eager to delve in the Tesla work space.

Tesla engaged students in a circuit activity, similar to Tesla models, and they learned the journey of how the women who work there got their jobs during the tech panel. The girls at BVHM were excited to get inside one of the Tesla models and explore it's features.

After attending this event:

70%

of girls/non-binary students are more interested in STEM

85%

of girls/non-binary students want to study harder to attend college and further their education

Here's what the students enjoyed most:

"This event inspired me to never give up, always persevere, and if there is a job that I am interested in and I want to do it, I always have to apply for it."

"I loved making the motor."

"I really enjoyed going inside a Tesla and seeing how it looks inside. I thought the event was perfect."

"What inspired me was to listen to what the panel said about their job and how they got to the point they are right now. Everything was amazing."

"I liked when we visited the car and it made me want to get a Tesla. It was fun!"

"Something that I enjoyed about today's event was doing the experiment with the battery. It inspired me because I learned more about the battery and wire, and how I could make [the wire] move."

"I really liked talking to all of the staff at Tesla."

"I can create a lot of things."
