Time permitting, your Lead Panelist will ask: “Why did you choose to come speak with students today?” Your response should be brief—aim for under 30 seconds!

Explain why you took time out of your day to be with IGNITE Students and why it matters to you that they know about STEM careers. This is a great time to mention any special connections, like mentors you had—or wish you had had—at the students’ age, or if you are an alum of the students’ school or district. Your answer will let the students know that you care about them and help open their minds to new possibilities.
