
Field Trip at Seattle Children’s Research Institute (Seattle, WA – Grades 4-12)
Join Seattle Children’s for a journey through the many different routes available to careers in STEM in Healthcare IT. This event will include a “choose your own adventure” activity where students will be presented scenarios and choose their own pathway to earn skills and knowledge that will serve them along the way. The activity will be supplemented with a panel of diverse IT professionals across various service lines.
For more than 100 years, Seattle Children’s Hospital has specialized in meeting the unique physical, emotional and developmental needs of children from infancy through young adulthood. The Information Technology (IT) team ensures providers, clinicians, researchers and support staff members have the most up-to-date technology so they can give hope, provide the best care and find cures for every child who needs Seattle Children’s.
This event is open to students in grades 4-12. The first school to sign up will determine the grade band for this Field Trip (e.g., 4th and 5th, 6th-8th, or 9th-12th).
Educators, be sure to take our short educator training before signing up for this event. Only teachers, counselors, or adult staff members at a school can sign up for IGNITE events.
