Field Trip at Chelan County PUD (Wenatchee, WA, Grades 4-6)

Educators, be sure to take our short 2024-2025 educator training before signing up for this event.

Only teachers, counselors, or adult staff members at a school can sign up for IGNITE events. If you are a student, please let the IGNITE Educator at your school know that you are interested in this event. If you don’t have IGNITE at your school, please email contactus@ignite-worldwide.org to get started!

Students will participate in an interactive classroom session on energy transfer, exploration in the hands-on Discovery Center, and a trip across to an observation deck in the powerhouse where students can look out across the generation floor and learn about fish passage. Students will need to bring bag lunches to eat in picnic shelters during the last hour of the trip. Then they’ll have time to play on the playground!

The Chelan County Public Utility District (PUD) is a not-for-profit customer owned, locally regulated, utility provided. In addition to clean, renewable, reliable, and affordable utility services including electricity, water, and fiber-optic internet, our PUD provides free parks, environmental stewardship programs and educational outreach. We work hard to make our community a better place for residents today and into the future. Learn more at: https://youtu.be/DbR9-2qe8yA
