IGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Rainier Beach High School serves a diverse student population, with high percentages of students who speak Somali, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Spanish. Rainier Beach High School is the only Title I high school in the city of Seattle.
