All students who attend the gala volunteer their time and skills in special ways. From greeting guests as they arrive, to making the educator awards, to supporting in the behind-the-scenes with IGNITE leadership. One of the most anticipated ways that students participate in the evening is through the “Student Panel,” where a select number of students share IGNITE’s impact on their lives from the stage.

Captain a Table

Table Captains play a key role in the gala’s success. Captains work to fill a table of 8, drawing their friends, colleagues and family to the event in support of gender equity in STEM.

In addition to having your name listed at the event, your work as a Table Captain will ensure that you’ll be seated at a table filled with your friends for a memorable evening. You may serve as a “co-captain” with a friend or family member.

Ignite the Future is IGNITE Worldwide’s annual fundraising event. This elegant event brings together the Washington STEM community including tech executives, school educators, STEM professionals, and DEIB advocates. Funds raised from the event enable us to maintain cost-free programming to Washington schools and students. We hope that you’ll join us as we raise funds critical to continuing our mission of creating a workforce pipeline of inspired and empowered girls and gender-diverse youth to pursue STEM clubs, classes, and careers.
